HS Band Practice Schedule - August 19th - 22nd

Dear High School Band members (and parents!)

I am excited to get our school year started! We have lots of great music for the High School Band to start off the new school year. We will need a few early (before school starts) practices to keep up our strong tradition of excellence. It is impossible to work around all of the athletic practice and game schedules, (as well as my mandatory school meetings) without a few conflicts. I am asking everyone to do the best that they can to make the band practices (even if it means coming directly after they get done with their athletic contest or practice if there is a conflict.)

To make things a little more complicated to start the school year we have been asked to perform with the Kalamazoo Hackett and Battle Creek St. Philip bands at our 1^st ever Diocesan (all schools) Mass to be held on Thursday, Sept. 12^th. This will require us to prepare 4 additional pieces of concert music while we are trying to prepare a show for our football marching season (this will not be easy!)

Monday, August 19^th 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. High School Café

Tuesday, August 20^th 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. High School Café

Wednesday, August 21^st 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. High School Café

Thursday, August 22^nd 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. High School Café

I limited our preseason band to just 4 days of an hour and a half each. Do everything in your power to make it happen as we have a lot to do!! (These practices are for High School Band members only – not middle school.)

Friday, Oct. 11^th – vs. Lawrence

Friday, Oct. 18^th – vs. New Buffalo
