On May 21st, 2017, Katie and Allie Glendening teamed up with Emma Fanslau from Bridgman Middle School to form the LMC/Bridgman Co-op Equestrian Team. The team competed in the MIHA Middle School Equestrian Meet. The meet was held at the Berrien County Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs with over 10 schools competing in three divisions. Allie and Katie competed in over 9 different classes each, ranging from Showmanship to English Equitation, Western Equitation, and Gymkana. Allie and Katie each won multiple classes. It was a very long day but the team emerged victorious as the MIHA District 3 Division C Champions!
Katie competed in 12 different events to help the team accumulate points. Allie was one of the youngest competitors due to a rule change this year allowing 5th graders to participate. Both girls were thrilled to compete together and represent LMC!
