Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, rooted in Sacred Scripture and centered on the Eucharist, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School embraces the values of Education, Faith, and Citizenship.
The Lake Michigan Catholic (LMC) School Fund believes that a quality, faith-based Catholic education should be available to families regardless of financial ability. In support of this conviction, the Fund currently maintains five endowments that contribute approximately $200,000 annually toward tuition assistance and scholarship programs at Lake Michigan Catholic Schools.
Twenty-eight percent of LMC students receive financial assistance. “Every family wants to provide the very best education for their children,” says Fund President John Proos. “And a high-quality Catholic education is achievable for families who need financial assistance even if they might not think they can choose LMC.”
Thanks to the support of many donors, alongside parish subsidies and school fundraising activities, 294 Laker families have been awarded nearly $1.7 million in tuition assistance over the past five years. In addition, the school has been able to freeze tuition rates for the 2022-23 school year. Gifts to any of these funds demonstrate a lasting commitment to making the Laker experience more accessible to families in Southwest Michigan.
